Professional Background

Rocio Martinez is a dedicated advocate for military families, education, entrepreneurship, and community service, with years of experience supporting soldiers, families, and students through volunteer leadership and professional service. As the wife of a retired U.S. Army Soldier, she understands firsthand the sacrifices and challenges military families face throughout a service member’s career.

Throughout her years supporting the military community, Rocio served in several volunteer leadership roles, including Family Readiness Liaison, representative, and group leader. In these positions, she worked closely with military families to provide guidance, support, and resources that strengthened family readiness and resilience during deployments and transitions. Rocio also worked with the U.S. Army’s Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) programs at Fort Hood and surrounding areas, where she helped organize and coordinate large-scale events and programs that positively impacted tens of thousands of deployed and local soldiers. Her work focused on building morale, fostering community connection, and improving the quality of life for service members and their families.

In addition, Rocio served with the United States Army Reserve Command Family Programs, where she provided support and assistance to Army Reserve soldiers and their families across a wide range of needs and services. Her commitment to service, compassion for military families, and dedication to strengthening the military community have made a lasting impact on countless soldiers and families throughout her years of involvement.

Today, Rocio continues her passion for serving others through her work with the Education Foundation, helping bring the Inspiration Station program to students across Ector County Independent School District. The Inspiration Station creates educational opportunities that deliver dynamic experiences designed to inspire successful futures for students throughout the community. Through this work, Rocio continues to make a meaningful difference by connecting students with opportunities that encourage growth, learning, and future success.

Rocio is also the owner of Deep in the Heart Photography, where she provides clients with a personalized photography experience that captures meaningful moments and lasting memories. Through her work behind the camera, she combines creativity, professionalism, and a passion for people to deliver photographs that reflect the unique stories and personalities of her clients.
