Jennifer Sturgeon-Leija is a healthcare administrative professional and community leader

rooted in Odessa, Texas, with a career dedicated to service, advocacy, and improving outcomes for families across the Permian Basin.

Over the past 16 years, Jennifer has built deep operational and leadership experience at Medical Center Health System, where she serves as an Executive Assistant and Marketing

Manager for MCH ProCare and is known for steady execution, thoughtful communication, and a collaborative approach to supporting teams and initiatives.

In addition, Jennifer works in multiple capacities, serving as Board Secretary for the MCH ProCare Board and as Marketing Manager for MCH ProCare Clinics bringing an organized,

people-centered perspective to both governance and outreach.

Jennifer has also maintained professional licensure as an Independent General Lines Insurance Agent (Life, Accident, Health, and HMO) since 2003, reflecting a longstanding commitment to helping individuals and families navigate important coverage decisions.

Community service has always been central to Jennifer’s story. For 12 years, she has served on the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women ELT Board, and for 10 years she has been a member of the Junior League of Odessa. She also holds board and leadership roles with the YMCA Board, the Odessa Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and

the Odessa Day Nursery, and she currently serves as President of LULAC Council 22563. In addition, Jennifer is an advocate for CASA of the Permian Basin where she continues to champion children and families through direct support and community partnership.

As a single mother of five, Jennifer brings empathy, resilience, and a people-first mindset to every role. She is passionate about creating opportunities for others and supporting organizations that strengthen health, education, and quality of life throughout the Permian basin.
